Mr Jagdish Gandhi is the President of World Movement for Global Democracy (WMGD) and has been building bridges of peace across the globe for nearly fifty years. For his long-standing contributions to education in peace, the United Nations awarded the prestigious UNESCO Prize for Peace Education in the year 2002 to his unique creation - the City Montessori School, popularly known as CMS, which Gandhi founded in 1959 and has been serving at its Founder-Manager.

Jagdish Gandhi is the convener of annual international conference of Chief Justices of the world and Global Symposiums. So far seven such conferences have assembled hundreds of chief justices, of supreme courts, judges of international courts and representatives of civil society organizations to ponder upon the safety and security of world’s children and generations yet-to-be born.

With over 32,000 students, CMS is the Guinness Book of Records as the world's largest school in a city. Mr. Gandhi's educational philosophy emphasizes moral and spiritual values, global understanding, and service to the world. He is also an active Peace Representative of the World Peace Prayer Society, the sister organization of the Goi Peace Foundation, Japan.

Mr Shishir Srivastava is the Secretary General of World Movement for Global Democracy (WMGD) and Organizing Secretary, Global Symposium.

Mr Srivastava has been actively involved in several projects with international civil society organizations involving work on peace education, children’s rights, interfaith dialogue, global democracy and exchange programmes which promote global understanding.

He is recognized as a dynamic peace activist and world citizen. He is the India Coordinator of World Children’s Prize for the Rights of the Child (WCPRC) and Global Vote, a annual project of Swedish NGO, Children’s World.

He has been associated with prestigious organizations such as the Commonwealth Youth Program (Asia), Children’s World (Sweden), People to People International (USA), A Single Drop (USA), World Government of World Citizens (WGWC), USA , Shinji Shumeikai (Japan) and the Companion Flag (USA).

A widely traveled person, he has addressed and actively participated at several International Conferences relating to World Unity and World Peace in Spain, USA, Japan, Malaysia, Germany, Singapore, Sweden, Seychelles, Maldives and Mauritius. He was a member South Asian delegation that participated at the Global Conflict Prevention Conference in July 2005 at United Nations Headquarters, New York.

Mr Suresh Kumar is the Web Administrator and Project Leader IT Forum of the World Movement for Global Democracy (WMGD).

He administers the WMGD website and ensures that it is constantly updated and well maintained.  Mr Suresh Kumar is a highly innovative and creative individual. At the Global Symposium, he is playing a key role to host the Special Session on Information Technology where leaders from IT world will be participating. He is actively involved in Breakthrough 2007-2012 project and Peoples Global Action Campaign.

His unique ability to get things done in an efficient manner makes him a popular IT leader. A valuable team player, Mr Kumar is highly admired and respected by all the team mates. His commitment for safeguarding children’s rights and drive for world unity and world peace makes him an inspirational world citizen.

He has actively participated in seven International Conferences of Chief Justices and Global Symposiums since 2001.

 

Mr Rakesh Sonkar is the Project Leader of Education Forum, WMGD.  He corresponds with Universities, Colleges and Schools worldwide to seek their cooperation for the Breakthrough 2007-2012 project and Peoples Global Action Campaign.

 

His research, innovative ideas and experience in the field of education in the capacity of Project Leader at School’s Personality Development and Career Counselling (PDCC) Department makes him an outstanding Educational Leader.

 

He is analytical and well versed with latest educational practices from around the world and has helped the school to organize several international conferences relating to innovative practices in education and curriculum design.

He has actively participated at the 2nd International Conference of Educators held at Malaysia, SAARC Youth Camp (Puri) and seven International Conference of Chief Justices and three Global Symposiums.

 

Mr Tariq Khan, is the Project Leader of Global Symposium and Civil Society Forum of WMGD.

 

He corresponds with civil society organizations worldwide to seek their cooperation for the Breakthrough 2007-2012 project and Peoples Global Action Campaign. He has greatly contributed towards organizing the World Peace Film and Music Festival 2006 and three Global Symposiums since 2004.

 

A wonderful and efficient team member, Mr Khan is actively involved in projects related to children’s rights, world unity and world peace. He is well versed with civil society activities world wide and has actively participated in International Conference of Chief Justices and Global Symposiums since 2003.

 

Mr Harshit Walia is the Project Leader of Multimedia of the World Movement for Global Democracy (WMGD).

A highly dynamic and confident person, Mr Walia coordinates projects related to youth and peace films. He also networks with active groups of individuals to seek their cooperation for the Breakthrough 2007-2012 project and Peoples Global Action Campaign.

He has keen interest in latest development in the field of information technology and film editing.

He has actively participated at the Asian Youth Forum in Bangkok, and in International Conferences of Chief Justices and three Global Symposiums.
