Accommodation and Convention Information

Here you shall find information on the Conference Venue (Lucknow, India) as well as latest information regarding transportation, housing and other logistical matters of concern to Conference attendees.

Foreign Participants
Accommodation in CMS WUCC Guest House
*Please Note that ALL APPROVED PARTICIPANTS from abroad will be accommodated Free of Charge on first come first serve basis at the CMS WUCC International Guest House. The CMS WUCC Guest house can accommodate 100 people on twin sharing basis. There is no fee for registration, boarding and lodging at the guest house. We will receive you at the Lucknow Amausi Airport / Lucknow Charbagh Railway Station. Please fill and return the accommodation and travel form by 15 November 2007

Accommodation in Lucknow Hotels
In case we fall short of rooms, you will have to arrange your own accommodation at a nearby Hotel. You are expected to pay for the hotel room directly. We will provide the transport from the hotel to the venue. We are making arrangements with Hotels in Lucknow to offer discounted rates to the participants. The List of Hotels in Lucknow city is given here. Hotel Piccadily is nearest to the venue and is offering standard room at INR 3500 for Global Symposium delegates. To book the hotel rooms, kindly download and fill the accommodation form mentioning your choice of the hotel and send to us.

Indian Participants
Due to limited space at our guest house and preference given to Foreign participants, we request participants from India to arrange their own accommodation and transportation to and fro the venue during their stay at Lucknow. Staying Room
We have spacious rooms with modern amenities to accommodate 2-3 persons. The accommodation will be reserved on ‘first come first serve’ basis. The rooms will be available for approved participant and are free of cost. We are tying up with Hotel Piccadilly
 

 

 


Auditorium
The CMS Auditorium is the 2nd largest in Asia and has the seating capacity of 3,000 people. It is here where the Plenary Sessions of World Judiciary Summit 2007 and the WMGD Special Sessions will take place.
 

 

 


Conference Rooms
The large conference rooms can accommodate an audience of 80 people. These are used for roundtables and breakout sessions. We have four conference rooms and all are well equipped with LCD projectors, computers and sound system to show presentations. All you need to carry with you is your presentation in a CD or a pen drive.

The Global Symposium will be held at World Unity Convention Center, which is part of a larger complex of CMS GIRLS Degree College, LDA Colony, Kanpur Road, Lucknow. This five-storied building has its own kitchen, bedrooms with all modern amenities, elevator, swimming pool, conference halls, and an auditorium with a seating capacity for 3,000 persons, laundry, communication center and Internet cafe. The school is situated in the western part of Lucknow. It is located about 6 km from the Lucknow Railway Station (also called Charbagh Railway Station) and about 3 kms from Lucknow Airport (also called Lucknow Amausi Airport).

Lodging
• The participants will be accommodated in modern buildings within the premises. Well-furnished rooms are provided for the use of the teams.
• Running hot and cold water facilities round-the-clock, western-style toilets and wash-rooms are available.
Boarding
• There is a fully operational kitchen and a spacious dining hall, where a variety of cuisine is served. Mineral water is provided for drinking.
 

Security
• There is a round-the-clock security vigil at the gates.
• Health and Hygiene
• A doctor will visit the venue daily and be on call for the duration of the symposium.
• Pest control cover is provided at the venue.
• Laundry and shoe-shine facilities are available at select times.

Assistance
• A Help Desk, with efficient officials will be functioning during the symposium.

Communications
• Telephone (local and long distance), FAX and e-mail facilities are available at the venue.

NOTE: The weather in Lucknow during December is pleasant and on a bit colder side. The days are cool and light woolens should be adequate. The nights can be cold. The average temperature in December ranges between 8 to 15 degrees centigrade. We advise you to carry warm clothes.
