Mrs Parvati
Chatterjee Mazumdar started her career as an IAAS Officer.
Later she resigned her civil service job to join teaching
profession. She has traveled widely in the world with her
diplomat husband. During her foreign sojourns, she took up
teaching work in Hong Kong, Beijing and Columbia University,
New York. During her teaching work she found that the job is
most rewarding as one learns more than one teaches. She
further found that it was imperative to inculcate in a
student critically thinking, reflection and analysis to
bolster skill in order that the youth may take us into a new
world order. She wants to utilize her long foreign
experience in teaching for curriculum designing and teacher
training in peace, human rights and general education in the
Indian educational institutions. |
